Well it's been a 2 year lay-off from here, but now I feel as though I'm ready to resurrect this site with much enthusiasm. It's been well over a year since I’ve seriously picked up a camera with the intentions of creating something.

The last serious picture I took is now posted on the gallery as my favourite. It's a picture of my little boy, Alexander. The picture was taken when he was only 10 days old. He's grown a lot since then - he's now 15 months old!

I don't know why I took such a long break from photography. Juggling a new family takes work and is a whole lot of fun. Now that Alex is growing up fast and we're happy to say that we have another on the way, I think it's time to start taking more pictures. Don't get me wrong, I have over 2000 photos on my hard drive of Alex now, but I want to take some more serious photos. I still want to do some landscape photography, but I think you may see some more portrait and candid photos. I need to work on those areas, especially since I've agreed to do a wedding for a good friend of mine in the fall. So please if you have any tips or critiques about my work, speak up!

I also want to make more time to browse some of the other great galleries around here. There are some fantastic photographers around here. The work in this forum is absolutely amazing.

My goal is to try to make at least one gallery posting and journal entry a week. I'm going to try and rope bookdiva into keeping me to my promise as she always had great feedback and advice when I was active.
